Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 (SM-T395) surfaced on GFXBench with Exynos 7870

There is no doubt remains that the Korean giant Samsung is working on the sequel of its rugged Galaxy Tab Active, that was announced way back in 2014. A device with model number SM-T395 (LTE), dubbed as Galaxy Tab 2, has been already certified by Bluetooth SIG FCC, and Wi-Fi Alliance ( PDF2). There is an another variant with model number SM-T390 (WiFi only), that was either got certified through FCC.


Now, the device has been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench by revealing some of the key specifications. According to the GFXBench listing, The device will have 8.0 inches WQGA (800 x 1280p) display, Exynos 7870 octa-octa chipset clocked at 1.5GHz with ARM Mali-T880 GPU. The listed variant has 16GB internal storage and 3GB of RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and has all the essential sensors. As for optics, it would have an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. Additionally, NFC and GPS also present on this device.

Apart from that, Its predecessor Galaxy Tab Active was launched with 8.0″ display with the same resolution, Snapdragon 400 processor, 4,450 mAh battery, 16GB storage, 1.5GB RAM, Android KitKat, 3.15MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, and IP67 certified. Basically, Samsung’s “Active” series represents the steadiness and ruggedness either it is phone or tablet. We can expect similar kind of protection as we have seen on recently launched Galaxy S8 Active.
