Samsung Reportedly working on Exynos 7885 and Exynos 9610 processors

Samsung is reportedly working on two upcoming chipsets allegedly called Exynos 7885 and Exynos 9610. Both the chipset are supposed to be mid-range processors where Exynos 7885 is based on a 14nm process while Exynos 9610 is said to be built on the 10nm processor similar to Snapdragon 835.

The Exynos 7885 reported packing a hexacore CPU clocked at 2.3GHz (2 x Cortex-A73, 4 x Cortex-A53) paired with Mali-G71 GPU. On the other side, Exynos 9610 SoC could bring octa-core CPU (4 x Cortex-A73, 4 x Cortex-A53) using the same Mali-G71 GPU. By going with specifications, these chipsets are looking to directly compete with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 660 which already being used by some smartphones.

As far as availability is concerned, Samsung will use these processors in their upcoming smartphones. While The report suggests that Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) could be the first phone to be launched with Exynos 7885 whereas Exynos 9610’s availability is not confirmed yet.
